What are the new dates for Afro Nation Portugal?
Afro Nation Portugal has been postponed to July 1st – 3rd 2021.
What happens with my tickets?
According to the new Portuguese legal regime provided by the Decree-Law DL 10I/2020, the festival organiser instructed its ticketing platforms that tickets will be automatically transferred to the new date and you need to take no further action for this.
Should you not be able to attend in 2021, you are entitled to resell your ticket. Afro Nation will delay putting any tickets on sale until September in order to give ticket holders as much time as possible to resell tickets.

Why can’t I have a refund?
Here is the official statement from the festival organiser on their ticket refund policy:
Along with many other countries, the Portuguese Government has passed many emergency laws to protect the survival of the industries that make up its economy whilst still protecting the rights of the consumer.
These laws and measures have been put in place in the interest of protecting the many thousands of people who rely on live events, including but not limited to the artists, venues, festivals, stage builders, technical and production teams, suppliers, bar staff, security, hotels, restaurants, and in general the thousands of people involved in the industry, including the fans.
Following this advice, Afro Nation will be postponed to the new date of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd July 2021 and to this end, and in line with Afro Nation’s ticketing T&C’s we will not be issuing refunds.

What about my accommodation?
According to the new Portuguese legal regime provided by the Decree-Law DL 10l/2020, your accommodation booking is automatically confirmed and valid for the new 2021 dates. We strongly advise customers to keep their bookings as we expect the festival surroundings to be sold out next year. If you cannot make it to this new date you are entitled to a voucher of equal value to the payment made for your accommodation, valid until December 31st, 2021. If not used by December 31st, 2021, as per the law, you will be then entitled to a refund within 14 days.
